Statement of Faith:
Delta Oaks is a member of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. The word,
"orthodox" means straight teaching. Delta Oaks believes the straight teaching of
the Bible and by God's grace we strive to put into practice the truths of the
Bible. Delta Oaks proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ in the historic Christian
faith. A full statement of our beliefs are found in the Westminster Confession of
Faith.
Soli Deo Gloria
(To God alone be the glory)
The Bible Only:
The sole authority for faith and
life at Delta Oaks is God's Word, the Bible. We are unashamedly committed to the
truths of the Bible because it is God's Holy Word. At Delta Oaks, the Bible is
sincerely believed and faithfully taught.
Historic Christianity:
Delta Oaks is a Christian
church that believes:
- God created all things seen and unseen for Himself.
- Mankind sinned and rebelled against God and as such is under God's
condemnation and judgement.
- God sent His Eternal Son, Jesus Christ to the earth to pay the price of
sin for God's people by dying for them on the cross and rising from the dead
on the third day.
- By turning us away from our sin and granting us faith in the work of Jesus
Christ alone, God saves His people and makes them His own. The central theme
of the Bible is that the only way to be reconciled to God is through His Son,
Jesus Christ.
- The good news of the Gospel is that through faith in Jesus Christ, God
takes away your sin and grants you His Righteousness. Thus, making you fit for
heaven.
This is the message Delta Oaks brings to you and all who will
hear!
